Holland Jachtbouw was founded in 1990 by Chris Gongriep, a highly experienced sailor who decided to tap into Dutch standards of craftsmanship and generations of yachtbuilding experience. Working with top designers such as Andre Hoek, Gerry Dijkstra, Ted Fontaine, Bill Dixon and Bill Langan, the yard's credentials in the luxury superyacht market quickly grew.
Having now built some thirty major projects, we have a superb relationship with leading suppliers and subcontractors from the heart of the Dutch yachting industry. Landmark projects that testify to our expertise include Windrose of Amsterdam, which has twice broken the transatlantic crossing record, the globetrotting schooner Skylge, the world's largest private schooner Athos, and two spectacular motoryachts Cassiopeia and Calliope.
