Paul Dielemans (1957) is the Managing Director of Holland Jachtbouw. An engineer and passionate sailor, he sailed to the Caribbean in 1982 and spent the next three years as a charter boat captain. Between 1985 and 1996, Paul ran his own successful general contracting company.
After returning to Europe in 1997, Paul managed the Dutch Whitbread campaign before becoming Director of Holland Jachtbouw in 1998. Between 2000 and 2004 he took time out to sharpen his qualities as a negotiator and project manager, studying in the fields of lean manufacturing and World Class Manufacturing (WCM).
Paul aims to put “the right people in the right place” and help Holland Jachtbouw become an acknowledged WCM company with a bright future. He is a team player with a clear vision: “Control the controllable so you have time for the uncontrollable”. Motivating people is one of his strong points.
Paul’s many sporting achievements include winning the Antigua race week, the Heineken regatta (St Maarten) and the North Sea regatta. He also competed in the 1996 Olympics in the laser class. Paul has two sons.
