There is no greater privilege in the yachting world than to be asked to build a second yacht for an existing client. So when the owner of Cassiopeia asked us to create a 42-metre, semi-displacement motoryacht, we were proud to renew our partnership. Although the new project will share the DNA of Cassiopeia, the yacht will be larger and specified to even higher standards. She will have a cruising speed of 15.5 knots.
This all-aluminium ‘gentlemen’s yacht’, featuring a wealth of customised items, has come from the boards of Langan Design. Her high end, classically styled
limed oak interior will come from the boards of Rhoades Young Designs.
The propulsion package consists of
twin MTU V16 2000 engines and zero speed stabilizers. She will have an integrated bridge and be designed
and built to the highest specifications.
Scheduled for delivery in late 2009, the yacht will be built to Lloyds and MCA regulations. At just under 500 GT, this type of fully customised powerboat puts clear water between HJB and other yards.
