A fresh challenge Designed, engineered and to be built in Holland, the Hollander typifies the innovative pedigree of the Dutch yachting industry. This project is set to inspire a new generation of owners who are looking for a powerboat that is unique and challenging without having an unfeasibly futuristic design. Modern materials and a lightweight construction are synthesised in a high-tech gentleman’s yacht full of innovative ideas.
Maximum efficiency and performance The Hollander deploys an ingenious system that takes full account of the total onboard power consumption. Depending on the length of the vessel, between three and five variable speed generators supply all the power needed for both propulsion and hotel load. Consumption is calculated in different user modes, with an intelligent management system deciding which generators need run at which rpm and when. The result is that smaller generators create the maximum required kw, and run more fuel efficiently in doing so.
Silence is golden The use of a battery bank offers a silent operation option. This will allow Hollander to enter harbour without running the engines or to peacefully moor in quiet and secluded anchorages (swimming without exhaust emissions!). A zero-emission capability provides access to restricted areas. As an added bonus, power can be stored
or drained from the battery bank as and when required to optimise the efficient use of resources.
Green thinking The Hollander meets the highest expectations in terms of environmental friendliness, using up to 35% less fuel than an equivalent displacement vessel. LED lighting is used wherever possible, consuming much less energy and generating less heat. LED lights last around 40 times longer than traditional halogen bulbs.
The demotic philosophy developed for smart offices and homes provides push-button control of lights and airco over large areas of the boat. The Hollander also includes heat recovery from the generators and airco system. Special attention is paid to the window glazing in terms of conduction, radiation and sunlight reflection, and we have some clever proposals to tackle exhaust emissions.
Smart layout As the gensets can be located away from the propulsion train, the options for interior layout are radically enhanced. Additional accommodation can be located in the prime real estate areas while the ‘engine room’ located in the best place for interior weight distribution and maintenance.
Maximum comfort The Hollander is designed for total comfort at sea and at anchor, with a sleek low resistance hull. There is only negligible pitching thanks to her bow and the lower draft aft makes for virtually no wake.
Timeless design Appealing to sailyacht and motoryacht owners alike, the Hollander looks different to anything that is presently on the market.
Compact and lightweight The high-tech water-cooled alternators, electric motors and power converters are compact and lightweight, saving space and reducing weight.
The choice is yours
