‘CII’ is christened Calliope

After months of speculation, the owners of the recently completed 42-metre motoryacht have unveiled her name at a special ceremony. The yacht, which until now had carried the project name CII, was christened Calliope as the owners and the HJB workforce celebrated the completion of this major build.

Calliope is the second semi-displacement motoryacht commissioned by the owners at Holland Jachtbouw. The first was the 32-metre flybridge cruiser Cassiopeia, launched to considerable acclaim in 2004. Both yachts are named after goddesses, with Calliope being the muse of music and epic poetry.

Although Calliope was first launched into the water in May, this naming ceremony was more spectacular as it showed the yacht in all her glory. Timelessly stylish both inside and out, Calliope has been built and finished to a remarkable standard of quality. With her Bill Langan design, Rhoades Young interior and major input from an experienced owner, this fully customised powerboat impresses in every way.
