Athos
Athos is the world’s largest privately-owned two-masted schooner and the most technologically sophisticated classic sail yacht to date. Built in 5383 aluminium, designer Andre Hoek and Holland Jachtbouw teamed up with a highly committed owner to introduce a raft of engineering innovations. These include an unprecedented hydraulic system that required over 30 km of wiring and offers some 450 kW of power. Athos has double redundancy for almost every system and also features dynamic positioning, a fully integrated stern anchor and a hydraulically operated centreboard.
