This magnificent 46-metre-long schooner made worldwide headlines after breaking the transatlantic crossing record in 2002 and 2005. Her elegant exterior design with low freeboards, elegant sheer and long overhangs comes from the drawing board of Dykstra Naval Architects, who also took care of the interior styling. Windrose of Amsterdam (formerly Windrose) won the ShowBoats Award for Highest Technical Achievement upon its launch in 2002, for the attention to detail in its advanced technical systems.

Her beautiful lines and impressive traditional appearance, evoking a bygone era, make her a welcome guest at all major classic yacht regattas around the world.

Interior

Windrose of Amsterdam has a characteristic, timeless classic interior, which has been made with a passion for craftsmanship and high-quality materials. Her decor exudes an elegant atmosphere while maintaining a high level of comfort.

The layout of this superyacht accommodates up to ten guests in four guest cabins, comprising a master suite, two twin bed cabins and one cabin with a bunk bed and two Pullmans. All cabins have an en suite bathroom and are decorated with solid wood paneling, completed with cream paneling and ceilings. In order to be able to have her guests enjoy their stay as much as possible, Windrose of Amsterdam also offers sleeping accommodations for seven crew members.

Technique

This sleek superyacht with aluminium hull and superstructure is powered by a 425 hp Lugger engine. This enables her to achieve a maximum speed of 12 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots. In addition to extensive maintenance work on the hull and rigging, Windrose of Amsterdam also had a refit in 2007.
